Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how WestHub uses cookies and similar technologies on the
westhub.app Site and within the WestHub web application. It supplements our
Privacy Policy.
1. What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Cookies let a site remember that you are signed in, keep your preferences, and measure how the site is used. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and IndexedDB, which work like cookies but live in your browser's storage instead of as separate files. Where this policy says "cookies," it means all of those.
2. Categories of cookies we use
| Category | Purpose | Required? | Examples |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Authentication, session management, CSRF protection, load-balancer affinity, tenant routing. | Yes — the Service does not function without these. | Session cookies, anti-forgery tokens, tenant context. |
| Functional | Remember your preferences (theme, sidebar collapsed, last-used app, time zone). | No — used only after you set a preference. | UI preferences in localStorage. |
| Analytics | Aggregate, privacy-respecting telemetry on which features are used and which errors occur. Used only to improve the product, never sold. | No — opt-in where required by law. | First-party analytics IDs. |
| Security | Detect fraud, abuse, brute-force login attempts, and anomalous behavior. | Yes — required to protect your account and the Service. | Rate-limit fingerprints, device IDs. |
| Marketing | None. WestHub does not use marketing or advertising cookies. We do not share your data with advertising networks. | — | — |
3. Third-party cookies
A small number of pages may load resources from third parties that set their own cookies — for example, font CDNs, the Stripe payment widget on a billing page, or the Twilio voice client on pages that include the dialer. These cookies are governed by the third party's own policy. We only embed third-party services where they are necessary for a feature you have used.
4. Your choices
- Browser controls. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will sign you out and prevent the Service from working.
- Do Not Track. WestHub does not use marketing cookies, so DNT signals do not change our behavior. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where applicable.
- Mobile. Our mobile Apps do not use browser cookies. They store equivalent session and preference data in the device's secure storage.
5. Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove cookies. The "Effective date" at the top reflects the most recent change.
